Campbell Ewald Leverages Cloud FastPath and its Powerful Permission Mapping Capabilities to Migrate to Egnyte

Leading Integrated Marketing Agency Accelerates its Cloud Platform Adoption While Preserving Metadata and File Structure Throughout its Complex Migration

BOSTON – May 4, 2017 – Tervela, the Data in Motion platform company, today announced that Campbell Ewald, a leading advertising and marketing communications agency, has used Cloud FastPath to successfully perform a large-scale data migration in support of its standardization on the Egnyte platform. Cloud FastPath’s pre-migration capabilities and powerful user and permission mapping features enabled Campbell Ewald to build and populate a customized folder structure in Egnyte that mirrored those of its existing cloud deployment. Cloud FastPath’s automated and centrally orchestrated migration method made it possible for Campbell Ewald to migrate over 14 terabytes of data and hundreds of users without burdening users or limiting their access to content.

“We chose Egnyte because its advanced features and flexibility promised to help our global organization collaborate more efficiently and effectively,” said Barbara Tencza, Director of Information Technology, Campbell Ewald. “This was the first time we have done this type of large-scale EFSS migration and we could not have successfully completed this without Tervela’s support and their software’s ability to migrate our file permissions and metadata, which was an important requirement for the advertising agency. The reporting gave us insight into what was going to happen and validated what happened, providing the tools to reconcile our data migration.”

Cloud FastPath’s pre-migration analysis feature allowed Campbell Ewald to easily identify which content to move, and simulate the results before transferring any data. This helped Campbell Ewald validate that the correct files and folders were being moved onto Egnyte, and that the applicable sharing and permission attributes would be moved along with them during the migration.

“Collaboration platforms like Egnyte and others are transforming the way companies do business, driving workplace productivity and innovation,” said Eric Schnadig, CEO, Tervela. “What often gets lost in this digital transformation buzz are the nuts and bolts of getting data into and out of these platforms properly. Thanks to customers like Campbell Ewald, we have built the leading platform to make that happen in a simple, fast, secure and automated way for maximum ROI.”

Tervela recently announced a Premiere Partnership with Egnyte to enable its cloud orchestrated data movement solution, Cloud FastPath, to power the migration of content, metadata and users into Egnyte from other cloud file platforms and on-premises file and storage systems, plus the ability to backup Egnyte.

Organizations are increasingly seeking help when it comes to the complex task of adoption of cloud file platforms, including moving their existing data onto their new platform of choice. Cloud FastPath provides a comprehensive solution for simplifying, securing, speeding and automating large scale migrations for organizations that are moving vast amounts of content from disparate locations into Egnyte. With pre-migration analysis and simulation, optimized data transfer technology, and post-migration reporting, Cloud FastPath enables organizations to accelerate the adoption of cloud platforms and quickly and securely realize the return on investment.
