Cloud FastPath POP System Requirements
Cloud FastPath supports a wide variety of premise- and cloud-based environments as data sources and targets. Installing a virtual machine in these clouds is very simple. System requirements for these environments vary based on the particular operating requirements of each Cloud Service Provider. Instructions for setting up the virtual machines are available in the Cloud FastPath application.
Cloud FastPath Premise-based System Requirements
Cloud FastPath supports deployment of virtual machines on Windows v6.1.7600 or greater (Windows 7, 8 and 10, Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2016) as follows:
POP TYPE | NO. OF CORES | RAM | DISK SPACE |
---|---|---|---|
Windows (running as source or target only)* | 2 | 4 GB | 3 GB min; 10 GB recommended |
Windows (running as Edge POP; source and target) | 4 | 8 GB | 50GB |
*Recommended resources. Fewer resources may be required for a machine that is dedicated to running only Cloud FastPath.
For Windows machines that are running concurrent jobs, conservatively, you can run one job per 1.5 cores and 4 GB of RAM. So in other words, an 8-core 16-GB machine could run 4 concurrent jobs, and an 8-core 32-GB machine could run 6 concurrent jobs. This is just a guideline.

Amazon EC2 | 4 | 15 GB | 80 GB | m3.xlarge |
Azure | 4 | 7 GB | 80 GB | Basic A3 |
